Towards the end of every month, here at Kelly Industrial Supply, we like to let our staff vote on their fellow employees to become Employee of the Month and what team has worked continuously hard together, and with all other teams as a whole for Team of the Month. Each team member receives a slip for both employee and team nominations, each with room to write three nominations. The only rule we have is that you cannot vote for yourself for Employee of the Month, but you can vote for your team as a whole for the Team of the Month.

Just to give an idea of who's who, here's a break down: Green Team is our Outside Sales Representatives (Wendy, Drew, Tim, & newly appointed Jr. Sales Rep Jeremy), Blue Team is our Customer Service Department (Alex and Michael), Purple Team is our Accounting & Graphics Departments (Samantha and Danielle), Red Team is our Warehouse Personnel (Timmy, Tyler, Carla, Ryan, and Nicole), and the Orange Team is the Presidential Crew (Tom).

We are diving straight into the second quarter of 2019 already! The first three months of the year have flown by like crazy. Now that the weather is (finally) making up its mind and the temperatures are rising, we are getting into the busy season! Be sure to check our "Specials" page for all the deals we are offering on our products!

​ We went through a software update in February, and so far so good. The software transition is helping us be more efficient in helping keep the business running smoothly.

January:
Team of the Month went to the Green Team - our Sales Representatives - Wendy, Drew, Tim, and Mark. They are truly working hard to get those sales!
Employee of the Month went to the Red Team's (Warehouse Crew), John. He always does such an incredible job at what he does so we are really thankful to have him.

February:
Team of the Month went to the Blue Team - Customer Service - Michael and Alex. We appreciate the two of them for all of their tremendous help and always working hard.
Employee of the Month went to Alex, Customer Service Supervisor. Always helping everybody out while continuing to help get those orders pushed through.

March:
Team of the Month went to the power duo of the Purple Team - Samantha and Danielle. The two of them have really been working with not only each other, but all of the other teams with all the transitions taking place in the office space.
Employee of the Month went to Samantha, Office Manager & Accounts Receivable. She's always keeping everyone in line and on top of tasks, all the while maintaining her own tasks at hand. We are super lucky to have her on our staff.

Another year in the books for Kelly Industrial Supply, Inc.! Thank you to all of our loyal customers in helping us achieve another successful year. We truly appreciate it! 2018 was a bit of a whirlwind of changes - new positions put into place, new staff members, and more! We welcomed a new sales representative, Mark, in joining Wendy, Drew, & Tim out on the road for the Green Team and we also had Cady come aboard in helping with Accounts Payable for the Purple Team joining Samantha, our Office Manager, and Danielle, our Graphics & Marketing Department.

Beginning in 2017, we started adding in an Employee of the Year award. This award is presented at our annual Christmas Party for our employees. Since this is a fairly new award for our company that we are starting to do, 2017's was presented to Alex, our Customer Service Supervisor for all of his outstanding and knowledgable work. 2018 brought in Michael, Operations Supervisor as the all-around winner. The rest of our staff greatly appreciates having these two on board with the company.

For the month of November, the Blue Team had the most ballots for the Team of the Month, and as for Employee of the Month, Tyler, one of our Warehouse Personnel and Drivers, ranked the highest for the month. Congratulations to all!

Here's to another successful year in 2019!

January was one of our best months to date! Both Wendy and Alex exceeded their sales goal by almost 25%, the Warehouse was up more than 10% over last year, and Mike exceeded his goal by 275%! Our overall monthly goal was exceeded by 6% and we beat last year's goal by over 16%!!! We are continuing to make this year one of our best years to come! Good job to all the sales representatives, inside and outside, on their goals and for all the other departments for holding down the fort!

At the beginning of each month, we recognize the hard work and positive thinking of our employees individually and as departmental teams. Before Tom and Wendy Kelly hand out the awards, every staff member, including Tom & Wendy vote on a ballot form with reasons as to who they think exceeded beyond their duties and went above and beyond what they needed to do.

For the month of January, the staff voted on Michael Sharp, our Customer Service Assistant as Employee of the Month. And with the effort as a team, the Blue Team took the reign of Team of the Month. Our Blue Team is our Customer Service department with Alex Smith as the Customer Service Supervisor and Michael Sharp, Customer Service Assistant. Congratulations guys!
